What to know

ATF Requirements - As part of the process of making a firearm on an ATF Form 1 or NFA items, you will need to have them engraved with your name or the name of the trust, as well as your city and state. The current engraving requirements are not well specified, though the requirements for the serial number are no smaller than 1/16" and a depth of .003". We generally engrave to a depth of .010" which allows plenty of depth for finishing if desired.

Locations - Engraving locations can vary depending on the project being engraved. AR Receivers are commonly marked in the Pin Location on the port side. On a case by case basis, we may be able to engrave the inside of the mag well for a more discreet engraving.
